How we do it

Team-based work

Like most consulting firms, your work at TCG is structured around project teams. In entry-level roles, you are typically assigned to one project at a time to allow you to focus on learning as much as you can about one client’s business.

As you progress in your career, you’ll find that you begin to split your time across 2 or even 3 projects as an experienced Manager and Director.

Consulting is an apprenticeship at its core, so our consultants learn best by doing and by observing more experienced team members. On the job training is the key to success and career advancement.

Our Partners are hands-on, frequently participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions so you can learn from our most experienced strategists.

Business Analyst and Consultant peer groups are incredibly strong at TCG, particularly due to our office-based model. Since our teams don’t travel every week, you’ll have a chance to get to know your peers, swap project stories over lunch and ask them for help when you encounter challenges.

Work/life balance

At TCG, we foster a model built around sustainable travel. Our teams don’t travel every week by definition, but rather schedule client meetings, workshops and more informal discussions based on individual client needs. Some clients look for formal meetings every few weeks with more periodic check-ins via phone. Client service always comes first, but our sustainable travel mindset helps our teams optimize productivity in the office and client relationship management on-site while maintaining a sustainable work life balance.
