The Cambridge Group Names Principals Scott Kluge and John Rountree

CHICAGO — The Cambridge Group, the growth strategy consulting firm, announced that Scott Kluge and John Rountree have accepted new positions as Principals with the firm. Prior to these promotions both Scott and John had served as Project Directors. In addition, Chris Fosdick, Andrew Harris and Eric Kohn have been appointed Project Directors; all were previously Project Managers with the firm.

Scott Kluge joined the firm nearly 10 years ago, and throughout his tenure has been a consistent senior thought contributor. His experience includes driving growth for financial service, consumer product, and retail clients through an in-depth understanding of consumer motivations at each step of the buying process. Scott uses this understanding of consumer demand to help clients develop market-driven strategies that direct product innovation, customer targeting, pricing and channel strategies to achieve profitable growth.

Clients consistently praise Scott for his deep understanding of their industries, and for his ability to thoughtfully leverage that understanding and his team’s rigorous analysis to develop compelling and actionable strategies that provide a roadmap to grow sales in the marketplace. Prior to joining The Cambridge Group, Scott was a manager with Accenture’s Strategic Services practice, helping consumer product and industrial companies to develop growth strategies and identify new product offerings. In addition, Scott worked at Leo Burnett, where he focused on developing customer-driven marketing and media strategies for clients in the consumer product and consumer service industries.

Scott holds an MBA with concentrations in finance, management and strategy from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He received his B.B.A. in marketing from the University of Notre Dame.

John RountreeJohn Rountree

John has more than 15 years of experience working in, and consulting to, the consumer financial services, food, beverage, and retail industries. He has focused on developing market-driven growth strategies through consumer demand segmentation, targeting, consumer value proposition development, and new product innovation, as well as brand and portfolio strategy development.

Clients consistently praise John for his ability to grasp the extremely wide range of complex business issues they face, complemented with his unparalleled passion in the pursuit of the best answer for their problem. Further, clients commend John for his ability to translate complex data and analyses into clear, actionable strategy recommendations that are aligned with the specific situation and capabilities of their organizations.

Prior to joining The Cambridge Group, John was Senior Director of Strategy at Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, responsible for developing, evaluating and managing growth strategy initiatives, as well as corporate development related opportunities. Prior to joining Wrigley, John was a Manager with The Boston Consulting Group where he led consulting engagements in growth and portfolio strategy, new business formation and launch, and business and corporate development.

John holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University with concentrations in Marketing, Management and Strategy, and Finance. He also earned a BA in Economics from Brown University.

Chris Fosdick

During his time at The Cambridge Group, Chris has focused on delivering demand-driven growth strategies for clients in the retail, consumer goods, technology, and financial services areas. Chris’ project experience includes new product innovation, business portfolio optimization and category management for a range of dynamic clients in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Chris earned his MBA with honors from the Kellogg School of Management with concentrations in Strategy, Marketing, and Analytical Consulting. He also holds a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Andrew Harris

Andrew specializes in developing market-driven growth strategies through the use of consumer and shopper segmentation and targeting, portfolio optimization, and innovation. Andrew is a firm expert on Demand Chain and has helped his clients successfully leverage shopper and consumer insights to develop brand, channel, and sales force strategies.

Andrew holds an MBA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan School of Business. He also holds a BS degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Eric Kohn

Eric’s experience includes developing demand-driven growth strategies in consumer packaged goods, financial services and the auto industry through consumer segmentation and targeting, new product development, and product portfolio optimization.

Eric earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Strategic Management and Finance. He earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with honors.
