The Cambridge Group Names Principals Mark Henneman and Sue Tobias
CHICAGO – The Cambridge Group, a leading strategy consulting firm, announced that Mark Henneman and Sue Tobias have accepted new positions as Principals with the Firm. Prior to these promotions both Mark and Sue had served as Project Directors.
Mark Henneman
Mark has nearly 20 years experience working in, and consulting to, the food, beverage, consumer products and consumer electronics industries, both in the US and internationally. During his career, Mark has collaborated with executive teams to develop growth strategies that drive both top and bottom lines. Most recently he has been integral to the development of TCGs most exciting new piece of Intellectual Capital, The Demand Chain, which will certainly have a significant impact on our clients, and our relationships with our clients, moving forward.
Clients consistently praise Mark not only for his unparalleled ability to interrogate data to find new and compelling insights, but also for his ability to leverage that complex data in the development of differentiated and actionable strategy recommendations. Clients further commend Mark for his highly collaborative work-style, evidenced in part by his willingness to offer counsel beyond project topics and across multiple business functions.
Prior to joining The Cambridge Group, Mark was a Principal with Booz Allen Hamilton in the consumer products and retail practice and Vice President of New Ventures for Motorola, where he led the companys expansion into the retail consumer electronics channel.
Mark earned his MBA from Dartmouth College, where he was named an Edward Tuck Scholar. He concurrently earned his BA and MA in economics with Highest Distinction from Northwestern University, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
Sue Tobias
Sue Tobias joined the firm more than a decade ago, and throughout her tenure has been a consistent senior thought contributor, leading challenging assignments and delivering impactful results for clients across a broad range of industries. She specializes in consumer products and services, working frequently on multi-national assignments, to help clients develop market-driven strategies including portfolio strategies, brand strategies and product line optimization.
Clients consistently praise Sue for her ability to quickly grasp the full range of complex business issues they face, and her ability to develop compelling strategy recommendations, supported with tangible insights and sound advice to guide execution. Further, clients commend Sue for the thoughtful manner in which she connects the strategy answer to actionable recommendations for the specific situation and capabilities of their organizations.
Prior to joining The Cambridge Group, Sue was a Project Leader for St. James Associates (now Landor Brand Strategy). While at St. James she focused on consumer frameworks, and top line growth strategies across consumer packaged goods and financial services industries.
Sue holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. She received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude.
We extend our congratulations to both Mark Henneman and Sue Tobias on their elections to Principal, and look forward to their continued excellent contributions in the future.
