Our orientation program enables all new employees to immerse themselves in The Cambridge Group's client case studies, proprietary methodologies and intellectual capital before being assigned to a project. In addition, we have several formal training programs, both firm-wide and tenure-specific, designed to develop consultants throughout their careers.

Share

The entire firm meets several times a year for a process called "Share and Grow". This event creates an opportunity for everyone involved in the organization to discuss the latest intellectual capital, showcase new ideas and client successes, and discuss firm initiatives.

Grow

Consultants are given feedback during and after each assignment to ensure timely professional development. In addition, each strategy consultant has a mentor with whom he/she structures objectives and monitors progress against an annual development plan. Individual interests and development needs are key inputs for staffing and training opportunities.

Execute

Consultants typically work on one to two projects at a time, gaining exposure to a variety of clients and industries. Our project teams are small and ensure that each member is exposed to colleagues' expertise, "hands on" learning opportunities, and performance feedback. On average, client engagements last four to six months.

Life After TCG

Often times, our business analysts will leave TCG after a few years to attend leading business schools and other graduate programs; recent alumni have enrolled in graduate programs at Harvard, Kellogg, Wharton, Columbia and Yale. Turnover among experienced consultants is very low; however, every once in a while, one of our team members joins the corporate side to play a more direct role in implementation. Regardless, the breadth of experience we provide while they are with us prepares them with the business acumen and skills to excel at future endeavors.
