Jim Eckels is a Managing Partner with The Cambridge Group. He focuses on driving growth for clients through market-driven strategies that direct their product innovation, customer prioritization, and channel strategies.
Jim joined The Cambridge Group from Motorola where he was General Manager of a consumer products and services business unit generating over $100 MM in annual revenue. While at Motorola, Jim held a variety of general management, strategic planning and new business development roles within Motorola’s Mobile Devices division and Corporate Strategy group. In one of these roles, Jim was responsible for creating and leading a “turnaround and grow” strategy for the mobile accessories division which helped the business grow from $200 MM to over $1 Billion in annual revenues in only 4 years.
Prior to joining Motorola, Jim was a consultant with Booz & Company where he led strategic consulting engagements for technology clients.
Jim earned his MBA with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, where he received the Dean’s Award for Academic Achievement. He also earned a BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois.
